Vodpod = Lockerz

Vodpod = Lockerz

Create a free account at Lockerz, formerly Vodpod, to post swf to WordPress.

Gotta hate the new name and look, but still the best way to embed an swf file hosted elsewhere, and here’s how:

1 – Create the swf file and upload to PASS space.

2 – Log in to Lockerz, hit the + button at upper right in header, select Add Video Decalz (please with all the zzzzs already…)

3 – Place an iframe tag as described in http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_iframe.asp . If you want to make the video larger, include a the values width=”XXXpx” and height=”XXXpx” in the tag after the url. A good size is width=”600px” .

4 – Fill in your appropriate file name and hit the Continue button, then in the next dialog verify your movie and hit This is the Video. Add it!

5 – In the final dialog, give the file a description and then hit Add to Locker.

6 – Hover over your icon in the far upper right header and select Your Locker, then select your video (note: it may take some time for the video to process, so be patient).

7 – Click on the Watch button and a dialog will open with the video playing. At the right are two smaller windows. In the lower window look for the button labeled WordPress Shortcode, and click on it.

8 – Copy the code displayed in the new dialog box and paste it into a WordPress post. That’s it!

Hello class!

This is a blog of blogs… student blogs are linked at the “To the Blogs” page. You can also look for your blog link under Blogroll. Hover your mouse and you’ll get a balloon with the name of the author, if his or her title is a bit obscure…
